Default Jetting sizes.

Okay. So I recently gave in and dropped my bike off at an awesome local shop for diagnoses. (80 metrics) Burnsville NC

Im trying to figure out jet sizes for the bike

slip On with minor baffling and a k&n air filter.

does anyone have a setup similar to mine? Or any experience and guidance with what jets sizes to get

thank you much! -Denali

Unless you put a header on it, I don't think I'd change any.

Seems strange that it would be rich. A K&N would theoretically provide more airflow right? So leaner. Slip-on, again more airflow (not really but many think so), so again leaner. Factory jets still seem to me to be the right way to go. Now if you're at high altitude, then smaller jets might be in order. Are you at high altitude, like Denver or something similar?

theoretically, hm it seems curious. I wonder if the jets aren’t stock.

If you're not the original owner of the bike, then it's really hard to know what might have happened in the bikes "youth". 135's on 1 and 4, 138's on 2 and 3 is stock for 48 state models.

thanks idodirt. I guess my next question is. If f3 carbs and f2 carbs are the same if not identical. I know there are a lot of shared pets between the models

They are definitely not identical. Honda learned a lot and there were a number of refinements to the F3's carburetors.

Default Carb diff

F2 carbs are 34mm where the F3 are 36mm. The F2 airbox takes air in under the tank. The F3 uses ram air, so there's extra hoses to maintain pressure in the float bowls

Default Rich rich

I think of extra "air flow" more of as extra "mixture flow". Because of the extra velocity, its drawing in more mixture and therefore more fuel. I actually jet down with a free flowing filter and/or exhaust.
