Default Inverted Forks

Has anyone here swapped out the F3 forks for the newer inverted CBR600 forks and triples?

I did the conversion on my XR400 Supermoto going from standard to inverted forks and

I was just wondering if anyone has done the swap.

If anyone has suggestions on which forks and triples swap out or which sets need the least amount of machine work

would be a big help!

Thanks SIRR1

Obviously, this is just my opinion, but I would rather spend the $500-550 to have my forks professionally rebuilt/re-valved than spend money on a setup that is newer but still not setup for my weight/riding style
Sure, the f3 forks are old but Thermosman/Traxxion/Team-TRS can make them AWESOME

Oh I don't plan on spending that much on a inverted front end.

There are several complete setswith triples and axles on fleebay right now for under $300.00

Plus I like the inverted look!

My F3 is 13 years old now and any OEM CBR inverted fork set up would be abig improvementon the old F3 legs.

As long as I can keep the geometry as close tostock aspossible it would be positive upgrade.

Thats why I was asking if anyone here had gone inverted.

The hardest part on swaping out is the steering stem.

If the F3 and the CBR I get the forks from have the same diameter steering stem it simple after that.

Otherwise I would have to have the new steering stem machined to match the F3 stem.

Wheel bearing are simple now days, all you need is the bearing / axle ID and OD and order them up off the internet.

It would also be cool to find a set of inverted forks/triples with radialcalipers, now that would be an upgrade!

I am just looking for a good winter project for the old F3.

Do a search for the member rsp919. He has done this upgrade to his f2.

If you put different forks on your bike you must use the matching wheels, fender and brake calipers. The price of the wheel is what will kill ya.
