Default I'm an idiot...

...And I need a little help.

I lost my 98 F3 key, my one and only key. The very same key that I've misplaced once before (for about 4 days) and swore to get 10 copies made. This time it's officially lost. I've been without it for about 2 weeks now and need to get riding again.

Fortunately, one of my good buddies is the Service Manager at the Honda Powerhouse in town here and can get me the key cut for free. The only catch is, I have to pull out the ignition and bring it in. How tough is this? I have moderate mechanical skills (can change my own oil, did a tail light conversion, replaced chain & sprocket, CCT, ect...) and a great shop full of tools complete F3 manual and plenty of time. Unfortunately he's a busy most of this week and cannot help, so I'm on my own.

Is this a project I can tackle in a couple hours? Anyone done this before and have pictures or suggestions? Am I being a huge nancy and complaining about a 25 minute project? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Steve

You'll have to pull the upper and disconnect the wires from the fairing stay. The cylinder itself is held on by two bolts youll have to undo to take it out
