Powershifting is with the throttle wide open....and banging gears...the clutch is also used in "powershifting", this shifting method is more or less blipping the throttle and applying pressure to the shift lever at the same time, but you have to apply a good deal of pressure or you will false neutral or grind gears, its much easier on a bike than it is in a manual car/truck. http://www.ehow.com/how_2000670_clutchless-shift.html pretty much a good explanation, can be applied to a bike

WOW ok I lowered the shift lever a hair or two and its at least 75% better

that lever is key to good shifting (and unbent shift forks)

whats the least amount of threads youshould have in the end links?

im pretty close to the end, but I want to lenthen it just a hair more

Change your oil if its shifting weird...it wont make a HUGE difference, but i alway's noticed a difference in the shifter after fresh oil

no the part you're talking about is part 4 in this diagram

that has a set position for max torque

but the pedal, part 2 can be moved up and down for maximum leverage

which is very important for good shifts

its adjusted by backing out the two locknuts 16 and 20 and then lengthening or shortening the shaft 13
