Hello all! I'm new to this forum as well as new with bikes. I recently purchased a 1995 F3 and the switches are crap. They have a melted look to them. The dude I got the bike from says the sun melted them, and the bike has never been on fire! I didn't really see any other signs of a fire so I took his word. Now for my question: If I was to buy a start switch from a 600RR, could I hook it up to my F3 with no problems. All help is appreciated. I was also looking at putting a 900RR speedometer on the bike as well. I just like the look.What kind of problems would this cause for me? THANKS AGAIN!!

 

could you please post some pics of the damage... i would love to see how the sun melted the switches !

also i think that you'll run into alot of trouble by using the different parts. try to get f3 parts it will be your best bet.

 

Yeah listen to HAVOC he knows what he is talking about. When you start to switch certainthings from one bike (model) to another you will be opening a BIG can of worms, stick with F3 parts

 

The sun melted them? Hahaha....what a load of crap. Unless it was around 160 degrees outside, probably not.
