Here is what happen to me. My bike was running like crap ,then wouldn't start at all.checked all that I could ,spark, relay, fuel pump and so on.so I end up cleaning the carbs. Put her back together and she starts right up, but when I was putting her back together I had the gas filter on backwards (no flow direction on gas filter) and she was running for a bit. I fixed it as soon as I saw that. I get a few days with her running at 100%,then back to the same thing not starting. I then rember what happen with the gas filter,so I fig that all the crap that the filter was filtering push back into the carbs cause it was on backwards for a min,so I pulled out the carb again and cleaned them.then it happens again. A few days at 100%,then no start. Now I'm pulling the carbs off again. I do a better cleaning and I fig I should clean out the tank too.cause I don't know where the crap is come from. I also take off the gas filter a pop her open to see how bad she was inside.come to find out that filter was collapse and all the paper from the filter was getting sucked into the carbs.so after all that ,it was my gas filter screwing me over. Now I'm put in a clear filter so I can see what's going on inside.

Ive found that whenever I do anything that involves taking the tank of or anything fuel realted its easier to just replace the fuel filter everytime. There soo cheap and easy to do that it makes sense. I cant tell you how many times something has gone wrong with my bike and I had to play the guessing game figuring out if I had screwed something else up in the process of fixing the first problem. I would hate carburated bikes if they werent so cheap and easy to work on!!
