Default How serious is this?

It is on the left side top support brace (frame) / engine mount. Bike seems to ride just fine. Fixable? There's a hole below it that does not go all the way through that I was thinking of making a bracket for to bolt to the frame.

Not sure why the pic wasn't working...

hmmmm

well, i dont forsee the motor falling out very soon....but the extra stress it may be putting on the other engine mounts might not be good. I'd ride it to a machine shop and have someone look at it and see if they can fix it.

Damn, wonder how that even happened...anyway, do you still have the original piece that came from there? Only reason I ask is because you could JB weld it back on and call her good. That's the path I'd take...try and fab a replacement that could cover that area for support again. Otherwise I don't think that I'd loose sleep riding it like that.

Yeah, not sure how it happened - it was like that when I got it. I've put about 5 miles on it but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. No, unfortunately I don't have the chunk.

Man... I've never seen that! Guess you have three options, fix it by to cutting off of the end (where the bolt passes through) and weld on another tube with same dimensions. I think this would be incredibly difficult because finding a tube of aluminum that'll fit and welding on the new aluminum piece... never donealuminum myself but hear it is really hard. You could replace the upper half of the block is another option but that would be a lot of work and money. Lastly and most likely, you could leave it as is. Man... you're in a rock anda hard spot with this. Wish I had some better words of advice for ya.

I'm a welder, welding aluminum is not hard... It's just about surface prep.

Welding CAST aluminum on the other hand...

I'd say it is repairable, I wouldn't leave it like that for long!
