Hi I just bought a D207F front tire for my bike..it was in strong need of it....anyways, Im just curious to know how many miles I can get out of this tire? Would I be able to get at least 10K? Or do motorcycles tires work differently that cars??? Thanks!

 

Motorcycle tires do wear faster than cars. I have 3 track days and probly 1500 miles or so on my set and the rear is toast, but the front looks pretty good. I have 208's til next week when i throw on the Q's. The only thing with the front I have is yeah, there is plenty of tread left, but it has gone through alot of heat cycles and therefore not as soft as newer. For just street riding, I would guess 8000 wouldnt be out of the question.

 

on my other bike the stock touring tire has over 13000 miles on it and is still on good shape, it all depends on what type of tire you go with

 

i got about 6000miles from a michelin pilot race tyre, have now changed to pilot power so i hope the lasts a bit longer
