How to bypass fuel pump

If the idle screw is out too far, then the bike won't stay running. If you're talking about the Idle Air Mixture screws, then you'll have to reset them and adjust from there. Starting the bike will drain the battery if you have to start several times. Just jump from car or battery charger.

Since you just got the bike started, I wouldn't worry about the smoke. Take it for a ride, maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Then check to see if it's still smoking. I can say with confidence though that the gravity feed has nothing to do with the smoke. Are you able to get your bike to idle normally now, without the choke on ?

I think it is burning oil, I see oil on the exhaust but do not see where it is coming from. Not only that but the oil was very low, and I now see oil coming out of the tail pipe. Looks like I may have to get a new engine or part my baby out. How easy is it to swap out an engine... or upgrade to a different bigger engine?
