Default HID bulb question

I have a f3 and I put a HID light in and just that, no conversion or anything. I was wondering if that is bad, cause my bike has been not starting good like it has a dead battery all the time, is that cause I just put a HID bright blue bulb in replacement to my stock bulb?

Putting in a blue bulb by itself wouldn't cause it. But if you put in a higher wattage, then that could. The alternators on our bikes don't generate enough electricity at low RPM to charge the battery. If you put in a higher wattage bulb that could be enough to tip the balance. Particularly if you are doing lots of idling or stop and go riding. Also short trips don't do much for charging the battery. If you didn't up the wattage, then you may be inline for a replacement R/R (regulator / rectifier).
