Hi everyone i just bought my first bike

its a 95 cbr f3

it has around 23000kms..
and i dont have the manual or service book
so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to tune up ideas..

as well what are some of the weakness' this bike has that i need to be aware of?

1st off congratulations !

2ndly as far as tune ups go im not sure how many miles that is but basic tune ups would be; oil + filter chnage, spark plugs and wires, check the brake pads and see if they need to be replaced. same thing with the chain and sprockets. inherint problems with the f2/f3/f4/900RR is the regulator going out .

so post up some pixs and oh yea one of the other weaknesses these bikes have is US . if youre new to riding you might want to take a course but basically just take your time, ride within your limits and always wear your gear. have fun !

 

you picked a awsome bike to start out on im also a begginner i have been riding for about 2 weeks steady on my 98 f3.....+1 on the pics lets see what a sweet wip you have....on tune ups use full synthetic oil 10w40 and the f3has no weeknesses on my behalf on a service book i have the haynes service manual its like the chilton for honda motor cycles it has every thing to rebuild your bike from ground up in extream detail down to fool proof pictures well welcome to the forum and ride safe and good luck

 

So do that then. Not to be a dick but tune-ups tend to be the same between the car and motorcycle.
1)check and/or replace air filter
2) oil change and filter
3) replace spark plugs
4) check slack on chain
5) inspect brake pads, brake rotor, and brake lines for leaks.
6) coolant flush
7) bleed the brakes
8) Check the sprokets for unusual wear.
9) Buy a R/R just in case the one in the bike goes out.

You say klms, where are you from? Anyhew, 1st major service for the CBR is 20000klms, that is valve adjustment, change of brake fluids & coolant. It gets better though, you don't have to worry for another 20000klms. Do a search in this forum, there is a manual availible.
23 clicks is a good buy, they are a great bike. They have problems with the regulator at some stage, and some have worries with the Cam Chain tensioner. Good on you for buying one

On avg when does this alternator act up for F3s????
I had no idea i can dl a manual fro free so i ended up payin 10bucks to dl one online... AKKK!!
