Default Help! Radiator hose help..

I picked up a 96 F3 from a buddy of mine in pieces. I've got it all together and running, but I'm not sure where the radiator hoses off of the overflow tank go. Does the lower hose go to the filer neck of the radiator? Does the top hose just drain to the ground through the swing arm? I also have a small hose fitting off of the side of the thermostat housing.. does one of them go there?

Any help would be appreciated.. thanks!

ok, in looking at the online parts diagram it kind of appears as though the bottom hose off of the overflow tank goes to the filler neck of the radiator. It also appears as though the top hose is a vent/over flow drain that is open and pointed to the ground.

So, now I'm thinking my only concern is the the open fitting off of the thermostat housing, if I leave it open it spews alot of water(coolent) out of it. In the diagram it appears to go to a thermo 'Valve' that then goes somewhere(didn't show in the diagram). This bike has had a lot of stuff stripped off of it to where the carbs are gravity feed, etc.. Is this valve something I can bypass? Can I just cap off this barbed fitting?

The hose off the t-stat housing should go to one of the fittings on the engine block.... one is right underneath of the carbs on the same side as the t-stat housing and the other is over by the water temp senser i think it is also located very close to the carbs good luck let me know if you need more info.

Thanks for the info. I ended out looking at the original head(it was replaced do to damage) and the t stat housing on that one did not have the fitting in it so I ended out plugging the fitting on the new head and it all seems to function nicely now. I'm not sure why the new head has the fitting and the old one doesn't.. perhaps it's a different year or built for a different local? Never the less, the bike is staying nice and cool now..
