Help please with rear integrated led light
Hi Guy's,
Not sure if this has happened to anyone else on here, but upon stripping my bike noticed that one side of the rear integrated tail light was not working.
The bulb works fine from the bulb end, but inside the led tail light i could see that something had melted on the circuit board.
This obviously not making the right side indicator or stop light working.
Anyone have any ideas why this went????
And yes i had wired it right as checked with an electrician :P
I also bought a resistor to allow the leds to blink at the correct legal speed.
The led light was a bike.it one, which was brand new.
Put a few picks on to show whats gone on........
This is looking from the back of the tail light, as you can see something wanted to melt lol!

As you can see the right side indicator light still works....

Indeed! Have just orderded this:
LED Tail Turn Light for Yamaha YZF 600 R6 01-02 YZFR6 | eBay
Am going to do some modifying out of fibre glass so it is a snug fit in the tail, plus it works out cheaper and will look ten times better
Will post photo's up once i have done ;0

that should look good! definetly post some pics of the work.
just curious but why not just switch the tail to a 97-98 f3? looks a lot better than the 96 and its straight bolt on. ya just need the rear fairings, seat and light.....
i paid $40 (shipped) for the light, about $40 (shipped) for the seat and they sell just rear fairings for i think $150, all on ebay. im sure you could find deals else where also.
