just put my engine back in after 4 months, cant find where two things go. first its the line fron the bottom of the overflow tank(long line) also i have a green wire on the right side of the engine dont know where it plugs too. the bike cranks but dont start. i have a 97 cbr 600

The loose wire on the right side might go to the oil sending unit located next to the clutch cover on the right side of the bike. It probably will not start because the computer thinks that there is NO oil pressure since it is not hooked up.

Is the other line coming off the coolant overflow tank?

yes the line comes off bottom of the overflow tank, also i found out where the other line went it was to the netural safty switch. bike still wont start just back fires, the timming looks right(by the book ) took plugs out and they where wet. gets fuel, spark and air. dont know what elese to do?????????

From past experience your timing sounds 180 degrees out. Make sure you are at tdc, and then re-alighn cams. If this isnt it i'd be suprised.

the hose goes from the bottom of the overflow to the top of the overflow by the cap! Great to hear ya got her running~!
