need some help
i would like to know if there hsould be any certain specifications to taking care of a cbr f3, ive already the complete carb clean up last about 6 months ago, got new plugs, oil change, my mechanic even hooked up an R1 fule pump to it.....etc, now just recently i went for a little ride and jsut as i am getting home i can feel the exhaust shooting off spurs's of air, my idle was having trouble keeping itself stable and then i got a nice wiff of gas thru my helmet, i tried starting it back up and it couldnt hold its idle, it just kept shuting off so now it wont start, so im thinking i need a new fuel pump, could i be wrong???
an intermittent stumbling idle wont be from your fuel pump, unless it is surging, but even then its a long shot. I say check your plugs, even thought they are new, check your air filter, check simple stuff first, them move on in. The biggest thing I have learned from when my 96 acts up, its probably something I did, and it doesn't like it or its not completly dialed in. good luck and let us know how it turns out~

why an R1 fuel pump???
why an R1 fuel pump???
to be honest it was out of an emergency that we had, so it was either that or tow it

turns out the plugs werent new, i was actually thinking about a different F3, my bike on the other hand has to get new plugs, because only 3 were working, the fuel pick **** needs replacement, new fuel filter(or air filter i forgot which one) and labor
I have a 97 F3 and when my fuel pump needed changing it would be running fine then act like it was running out of gas. I could usually sit there for a few minutes and take off. I bypassed the pump 1 time to try and diagnose the problem, sure enough it was the fuel pump.
