Ok this is what i have , 98 f3 we went out for a quick ride and all of the sudden just the head lights stop working.
took it apart and check to see if the plug that connects to the bulb was getting power.. no luck.. eberything ealse works, signals,rear lights, cluster ...just the head lights... when turning on the HI beam the indactor on the cluster does not get on.

any ideas?anyone?

 

check the fuse. that same thing happened to my dads interceptor.

 

Check for power at the relay. Then at the switch. just work your way from the light to the battery. Youll find the problem

 

I just finished correcting this problem today!!! mine was the switch in the bars not the one that controls the lights, but the one that has the start button and kill switch on it on the right side when sitting on bike hope this helps...
