Default having problems

Ok here goes... I am a new owner of 1995 cbr f3 and i have been working hard on it. The previous owner let it sit and i was more than happy to take it off her hands. So anyway here is the problem.... I can go thru first and second gear with no problems but in third gear as soon as it reaches about 2-3 rpms it starts to sputter and spit. I am lost as to what else to look at. please help! thanks!

I'm 99.9% sure it's the fuel pump. Mine did the exact same thing. Either you don't have a fuel pump, or it's not working. Hope this helps!

i say check all the above., BUT
mine was doing the Excact same thing because for some stupid reason 2 sparkplugs wires were missmatched and also the most important reason.
f2/f3 s have this lil vaccum hose on the left side. that hose needs to feed pressured air to the engine at all times. mine was bent and was the reason why it was running like that. after i fixed the wires and ziptied the hose in a position that SUCKS air from the front.
my bike runs amazing after that.

i would say check the fuel filter, and the carbs too.
