Default has anyone bought the electrosport rectifier?

They claim its a heavy duty upgrade from oem. Just wanted to see if anyone has used it.

I have one. Running fine for almost a year now. Has big cooling fins on it, so its supposed to dissipate heat better. Just thoroughly clean the plug-ins on your bikes harness before you plug it in. Corrosion increases ressistance.

I wouldn't recommend it I bought a stator and regulator from them. The regulator was bad out of the box. Had to order a Honda one next day. Then the stator went out in 200 miles. Do some research some people had good luck but a lot of people had bad luck! I recommend staying with Honda oem on the charging system!

If you're talking about Rick's, we've sold hundreds of them and in the time that I've been working I've seen about 1-2 stators being bad and maybe 5 or so of their regulator rectifiers being bad. I would also recommend the honda OEM, but I know that's a good chunk of change and I don't find the Rick's alternative to be that bad of one.

i run one. runs a little hot. melted some of my fairing near where the plug was burnt because of corroision or whatever on the plug. soon as i clean the plug should fix it. other then that no problems at all.

I have no experience with rick's but I replaced mine with one from a yamaha yzf600r over a year ago for $20 off ebay. Work's like a charm. It barely gets warm on a hot day. Just sayin there are other options.
