Handlebars Vibrate?
Handlebars vibrate at around 55 MPH. Just started happening. The front tire is almost at the wear marks. Could this be the problem or is it somthing else. Mabey a new front tire and balance would fix the problem?
Will bar ends make that much of a difference? My F3 only has one on one side! Previous owner did a low speed drop (scraped the fairing and cracked it at one of the mounting points and I assume knocked off the bar end as it is no longer there!).
I just haven't gotten around to replacing it and didn't really notice a problem but as I have no prior experience with this bike maybe I am missing something in terms of the feel?

These CBRs are pretty good for not having bar vibration - even with no ends I've found on my two. My FZR is a completely different story - there's a good reason they make those Yamaha bar ends so heavy. I'd bet it's your front tire if you didn't notice it before and now all of a sudden do.
I just started a wobble around 55mph and main at decel. I have 1 bar end(Right side missing) but never noticed it until today.
I had the tire put on about a month ago.
So i'm wondering if it might be the bearings or something with teh tripple tree.
I'll call my motorcycle mechanic tommorow. He specializes in Race motors and Race Suspension(Especially Supermotard) so he'll probably know what it is but any advice is better than none.

Amittie,
I might have a spare bar end. I'll have to go through and riffle through my crap... I don't exactly recall where I put it.
On the wobbles, is the tire going the right direction? I've read a lot on here where shops mount the tire in the wrong direction. If your steering head bearingswhere bad or loose, you would notice a forward and backwardslop motion in the whole front end when hitting the front breaks. Remember the days of bicycles and when the steering headnut would come loose, the handle bars slap around forwards and backwards when hitting the front brake. I would also check the bearings in the rimor maybe the balancing of the tire just didn't hold up.

Actually part of the bar end is broke off in the handlebar. I'm going to have to buy a long bolt and use a slide hammer to get it out.
I forgot my motorcycle guy isn't open today but I'll bring it by to him tommorow and ask him.
I might end up going with new bars because I assume that if the bike crashed hard enough to break the bar end off it probably damaged the bars. But who knows I'll have it checked out.
