Another thing to think about is the fact that Arai puts a five year warranty on all their helmets(you should obviously be replacing used helmets every 5yrs).

 

I think Shark does this as well.
I prefer Shark over Arai though since they are less expensive and are ECE 22-05 approved rather than Snell M2000/M2005.
They also have a 5 year warranty and the thickest, strongest visors on the market.
