For the blinker wires its only slightly more complicated. Even though I only did it a couple days ago I forget what colors the wires are (are they yellow n black for each blinker? lol). Anyway, you should have a positive and negative for each blinker; I think positive is the straight yellow one, but not 100% on that recollection. So your positive goes to the appropriate positive wire from the bike. One is blue and one is red I think. Ground wire from the blinker goes to the green ground wire from the bike. Now put the resistor from the positive to the negative on each blinker. Get some heat shrink on that sucker, zip tie it up in a bundle or however you want to secure it and you're good to go.
Does that all make sense?
I'm going to be prepping my wiring on my bike for my f4i gauges when I get home in anticipation of them coming in the mail so I'll try to get some pics up to make it a little clearer!

- electrical tape
- wire strippers
- zip ties (to hold the wires at and underneath the light)
- screwdriver
- wire connectors
- needle-nose pliers (bending and removing the metal around the light)
I think you can get by with that.
Took me about an hour, two tops.
I had a few beers.
