howd u do the taillight conversion?

 

when i converted to the 97-98 tail, it came with a bracket that secured the taillight mount to the frame instead of the plastic underneith.
i then removed the whole plastic piece (turn signals, license plate mount, and storage under the seat).
its one huge piece secured by 3 screws...
i stripped the turn signals and removed the metal reflector with pliers and bending except for 1 part that could be mounted to the taillight.
that's about it

it looks worse... why is there still gaps?? is it not completetly put together

 

haha thats awesome this is exactly what i did to mine when i first got it... i just chopped off the whole rear fender, ripped out the signals just like u did.... except i drilled holes into the remaining part of the fender underneath the tail light so i could bolt my liscense plate, which i had to bend the sides slightly to makes fit.... nice work man saves alot of money...

 

i got a cherry 98 seat and clear alternative integrated taillight that im gunna be selling if you can wait a little bit. i plan on working on my bike once it gets to ****ty to ride. so keep that in mind fellas

 

I bought a used Clear Alt Integrated light and i'm wondering what else i need? I only have the light itself. Where do the 2 yellow wires go and how on earth does that oval shaped black connector connect to the harness?!
