Default Gear indicator faulty?

I bought a cheap gearshift indicator from aliexpress, the connector is a 3 pins and 1 lose green wire for the neutral
According to the internet and manual when in neutral switch key, the indicator will flash L (Learning). Mine does but stays flashing L. When I engage first gear and release clutch with wheel off the ground the indicator is making constant a circle, doesnt change when i switch gears. Also where to connect the green wire for neutral?

This is my video
Video i found how it should workd (from 7:02)

For the people wondering, the green wire had to get a pulse signal, took the signal from the pulse generator wich has a yellow and yellow/white cable. thats it

I Have a 2001 CBR 600 F4i

I tried using the Y/G wire in spot 19 on the black ECM plug but no luck, I read that on how to instal aftermarket gear indicator from other bike owners. Which did not work.

If I am understanding you right then you are saying tap into spot 21 on the black plug on the ECM which is the Y/W wire?

Anyone able to confirm this?

Thanks!

Does your gear indicator has a plug and play plug + 1 wire? Perhaps post a picture i can try to sort it out for you. Mine had a plug that connects to a existing connector and the green wire went to the pulse generator to pickup RPM thats it

I have so far tried the

tach wire-yellow and green
cam pulse generator wire- grey
ignition pulse generator wire-yellow
speed wire-pink and green

the seller told me it should work with the tach wire but all it does is just flash L

the only time it speeds up like its trying to learn is when its attached to the yellow wire.

any help would be appreciated.

it is a knock off of the expensive one.

and yes it has two plug which i plugged in properly and then 1 stand alone green wire.

the video is of when it is attached to the tach wire

THANKS!!!

page 460 is a wiring diagram, i see the cam pulse generator with a white/yellow wire and green wire. I think you should tap your green into one of these 2
Which is number 22 on the ECB B connector

so I can't thank you enough brother!!!!

you were so right, that was the correct wire!!!

However there was something I was not doing correctly and I happened to see it on YouTube on a video of someone installing it in their Yamaha yzf.

once you install it, if you bike is on a rear swing arm stand like my bike was you need to get the rpm's up really high, the guy in the video said take your idling rpm once the bike is warm and x3 that is your lower limit and x4 that is your upper limit.

so my bike idles at roughly 1500, so the bottom was 4500 and the top was 6000rpms, I was originally trying it at 3000 to 4000 rpm.

once I adjusted this it began to program!

Haven't taken the bike out yet but when I can I will update you!

once again thank you to you and forums like this!!!

Sincerely,

Code4

Haha glad it worked! I know the struggle I had it also, not really lots of usefull awnsers except a couple that really wanted to help. If you know what you have to do its so easy. What I used to do to "Learn" the gear indicator is pull over (ofcourse if save) on a straight 80kmh road, or at a gas station beside the highway and reset the indiactor. I believe 5 times contact and off when you see it countown between 6 and 3. Than start the bike and the L starts flashing again to learn. Drive off from the gas station and stay in first gear until it says to shift to 2nd. The indicator leans its gear by rpm+speed.
