Default Gauge Cluster Question?

I have a 1995 CBR600 F3. I am looking to replace my gauges and I really like the ones that Honda started to use on the F3s in I think 1997. It is the gauge cluster that has the tach as a white face and the others the stock black face. Will this fit my 95. They look the exact same shape and everything, I guess the wiring harness clips being the exact same is what concerns me.

Has anyone ever made this change and ran into any troubles. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Adam Dempsey

I'm not sure about that one. I have some interest in doing an F4i gauge cluster on my F3, and there is a really great diagram out there for those wires. In that diagram, most of the wires match color. If you have the service manual for your bike, I think the wires are broken down in to which function they serve. It shouldn't be too hard to compare the notes and tie em together.

I have an F2 gauge cluster that I'm going to be selling. I modified it with an indiglo type gauge face kit. It is white during the day and at night, you can see the backlights and all the numbers/hashmarks are blue. It looks really sweet. If you're interested, I'll take some pictures of it and send them to you. An F2 gauge cluster will fit an F3 I'm pretty sure. Otherwise, you may want to look into the aftermarket gauge faces for your bike.

According to my Haynes, the 95 (S) Is the same set up for the 97 (V) & 98 (W) the models prior to that have a different set up because of the speedo cable, from 95 on they used a sensor.

The 95-98 guages will directly interchange. The pre 95 guages will not work in a 95-up.
