GAS LEAK ISSUE (with video)
To start. I have a 97' CBR 600F3 which had been torn naked and is now a fighter. Ive had quite a few fuel issues with this bike. Mainly hoses cracking and what have you. I removed about a foot of extra fuel line that was just being kinked up. Everything was fine; now I have gas leaking from between what I think is carb #3 & 4. Ive done a few searches online and called a few shops and found one common problem. The o-rings on the "T-valves" have been worn out or have just gone bad... SO I ordered two o-ring gasket sets and have gotten a few estimates for the fix [$600, $400, $200 and $100] and honestly I do not want to pay someone any more than 20$ to put rubber bands on plastic connectors. Im pretty mechanically inclined, so if anyone could maybe run me through the process of removing the rack of carbs, separating them and syncing (if they need to be synced) them again Id be very appreciative. See video link attached and tell me if you think it may be something else. Thank you in advance.
