Default Gas Cap Key & Igniton

Ok let me explain this is a Racebike rebuild there was no ignition key but have a Gascap with a key if I get an ignition switch off ebay without the key can I get the ignition rekeyed to match the Gascap ?

Or will I have to live with 2 keys

unless its a blank ignition no, and even thit it would cost you $$$ to get it cut.

i would suggest getting a keyless gas cap and buying an ignition system off of ebay that comes with they key. just my $.02

Have the gas cap lock re-keyed.

Ok so buy a ign with key and have gascap rekeyed sounds good Thanks.

Well, there is a code under the gas cap for what the cut key is. Since you have the key to get the gas cap off, just open the tank and then use allen wrenches to take the cap off the tank. There should be a key code under there, if you can't find it I will look. My shop does new keys for like ten bucks with the code.
