Funny noise in gear box.Should I be concerned?
When my bikes idling and I put it in neutral and release the clutch I here this scratching or shaving sound coming from the gearbox (almost like the dry clutch on the Ducati’s but no so harsh.) You can also feel it slightly when hold the handlebars. It’s very faint. The bike drives fine and I don’t have any problems shifting gears.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Yeah mine does that too - I was thinking maybe a worn bearing set somewhere in the clutch system. It doesnt seem to affect the shifting abilities of the bike so I am not concerned about it for now....
The noise is the "Clutch basket", and you start to worry when it doesn't make a noise.
My bikes made that sound since new. A lot of other bike riders who don't own Honda's always comment on it, "What !#*# is that ?".

Thanks for your reassuring comments. I’m new to 4 cylinders (use to drive a twin – all kind of other funny noises
) Now I just have to get use to what the engine suppose to sound like. It also has this high pitched shaving sound inside the engine but I’ve heard that on lots of other super bikes before. This bike only has 12000km(7500miles) on the clock so I don’t think anything could be worn out. From what I told these Hondas have indestructible engines.
