Default Fuel venting

I have a 98 CBR600-F3 that has been sitting for two years. I'm trying to get it serviced and on the road again. When I tried to start it up fuel was venting our of one of the small rubber hoses. The bike started up and ran but massive amouts fuel were being vented. Any idea what could be causing this?

If you mean the rubber tubes coming out of the tank, one is for fuel over flow, if your filling the tank up to much, it flows out & goes down the hose, as the engine heat gets transfered to the tank, it expands the fuel even more & more petrol gets pushed out. Only fill it up the the bottom of the fuel tank collar.
