Fuel Valve question
I noticed yesterday that the bike turned on with the fuel valve in the "off" position, and if I turned it to "off" while it was running it still kept running. Is this normal or is the switch or valve not switching "off"?
I always turn it to the off position when I park and back on before starting it, but I forgot to switch it on and it still started and ran normally. I want it to work so the carbs don't get flooded, so I just want to check if this is normal or if I should get it checked. Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks.

RE: Fuel Valve question
when you switch it to off there is still fuel in the lines from when you previously had it on. once I left the petcock off and rode about a mile where it cut off on me. so when its on off it will run until the leftover fuel is used up.
and somone correct me if im wrong but the fuel pumpstops the flow of gas when bike is off correct? so you wouldnt have to worry about carbs flooding.
