I was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me. I have a 1998 f3 that needs to have the tank replaced. The model that I have is the red with black stripes and black tail ( i think the most common color scheme for this year). My question is that I found this tank http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT on ebay. My question is, will this red match the rest of my bike. And if it does match, where can I purchase the proper decals to match the rest of the bike?

I have the same bike that you have. The tank looks just like mine. The red looks a bit lighter color but i think that is just from the lighting. I'm not sure how many colors they made for that year on that tank. Go to www.ronayersmotorsports.com they have a list of colors for the bikes. That might be the only red they put on the tank that year. Also that tank already has the decals on it. It only has two... the honda wing on both sides. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks for the tip. BTW, what would be a reasonable price to pay for the tank? Any tanks that I have seen in decent condition are priced b//w 100-275. Any suggestions?
