Fuel Pump problem or something else?
So initially, my bike died on the road with it bogging like it had run out of gas and would not restart. After getting it towed home I pulled out the carbs to see that it was clean, and checked the fuel pump to see if it was running and it is. After putting everything back together, the bike started a couple days ago. Since then I had only taken it around the neighborhood in rides of less than 10 minutes long. Well just tonight, I decided to take it around on a longer trip and after riding about 10 miles, the bike died again also feeling like it had run out of gas. Now, I'm wondering if it may be the fuel pump not working well after it has been running for awhile? Can this ever happen, does anyone have any suggestions?
from what I understand on these bikes. The fuel pump only runs at higher RPMS otherwise it just lets fuel go passively threw.
If my understanding is correct, the fuel pump should not cause the bike to bog down.
I personally would check the air and fuel filters first.

Check the tank breathers under your tank. If you can't blow air threw them then that is your problem. Blast them out w/ brake cleaner and compressed air (if you have it). When pumps die they stay dead, no restart.
HOw many breathers are under there, I pulled out my left tail and saw the breather that is right next to the drain so I took a bike pump and pumped air threw there with no problems.
Before trying to pump air into there bike would not start, after pumping air threw the bike started. Could there be debris stuck in my tank causing it to clog?
