Maybe there's something in the troubleshooting section of the repair manual.

F3 Manual

pull the hose from carb to pump. stick it in a empty bottle,
then turn bike key, u do not need to turn the ignition all the way
if gas comes out , pump is okay..

i just did this to my F3. First you might want to check the fuel cut off switch which controls the fuel pump.. to do this you have to disconect the switch then with a wire conect the blue/white wire with the black/white wire.. then turn the ignition switch on and the pump should pump if it doesnt then you have to replace the pump which goes for some where around $140-160 if it does work and you want to check to make sure it is working properly you disconect the line that goes to your carbs get a measureing cup that you can take a measurment with turn the bike on for 5 seconds then turn it off. multiply the amount in the cup by 12 and it should come out to some where around 700 cc there you go that is how you check your fuel pump. let me know if it helps
