fuel pump blowing ignition fuse
hi guy this is my first topic so hope it goes well.
so this is my problem, i turn the ignition key on and hit start, the engine turns well and as soon as i take my finger off the start button the ignition fuse blowes. when i pass a tube from the gas tank to the carbs and disconnect the fuel pump, i do the same and the engine works fine.
so i was thinking it could be the fuel pumps, so i took the cap off and conected it directy to the battery, the pump works but it makes a big spark when the contacts touch. i also can see that the contacts arent in good condition. so what could be the problem? as the contacts are bad it needs more amps to work and as so it blows the fuse?
some help here please !!!
