Fuel **** Direction?

Hey, I have a 97 f3 and I just put it back together but I cant remember which way the arrow on that **** points when gas is on. Can someone remind me lol? Sorry for the stupid question

down is on, forward is off, and up is reserve

and dont worry about it, if it wasn't written on it i would forget it every spring
