Speedometer Knob? What is it?
Hey guys, so i just got my 91' f2 not too long ago, so i'm still messing around with it.
I noticed today, on the left side of the speedometer (kinda on the said of the cluster panel) there was this medium-size ****. when i turned it, it moved the trip counter (the counter right underneeth the total bike milage counter).
I thought "oh cool?" but then, i couldn't figure out how to reset it, NOT the total-millage-counter, but the trip counter? i can't figure it out? i suck at discriptions, but hopefully someone knows which part i'm talking about.

It's a simple ratcheting mechanism. As tou turn the **** the reset tabs pick up first thenumber 1 digits and thenany number 2s and so on until the nines roll over leaving zeros. if you continue to turn the **** nothing will hapen until you get all the way back around past the nines and the zeroes will flip again. If it's not acting like this, then somthing is wrong with it. All the older vehicles used to use this system. Lately most manufactures have gone to a push button meter reset.
I love that little ****. Reset the trip meter at every gas up and I know how far I can go or have gone and when I need to get gas again.
