first bike with some problems!
1st of all, Hi everyone here! I'm new to this website and to the motorcycle world. Recently, I have just purchased a 1995 Honda CBR 600 F3 with 25k miles for $900. The bike doesn't start right now because the previous owner hasn't start or used it over 6 months. I just bought a brand new battery because the old one is dead. I tried to start the bike but it wouldn't start. I've read in here saying to check spark plugs, fuel and timing. I check the spark plugs and there is spark on 4 and fuel does get to the carburetor.
Right now I'm trying to take out the carburetor. I can't raise up the carburetor even when I've loosen all the screws. I'm stuck here right now. I have searched on the forum but no luck on any instructions and the service manual I have, it only covers some of instructions not step by step.
Am I doing the right things? which I mean is taking the carburetor apart to clean or is there a filter need to be cleaned? Sorry for the long post. Thanks all

Check to see if your petcock is in the right position before you go ripping apart any carburetors. Also check your fuses. Do you get electric when the key is on?
And, it is custom in this forum that you introduce yourself and your bike in the new member thread so that we may be better able to help you by knowing your backround and bike history.

Wassup bro, i had the same problem, i thought i might break something if i push to hard to get the carbs off,but if the bike has been sitting for awhile,or poor maintenace to the carbs, getting them off or breaking the screws loose YOU GOTTA PUT SOME MUSCLE INTO IT!once their off its smooth sailing from there.I got some carb pictures in my album.Just my 2cents:Change the fuel filter while you have the carbs off as well.
