Fairings from DHgate
Purchased a set of fairings from DHgate last month and fitted them last week and thought I would put on an honest and true reflection of my experience so you guys who are Interested can make an informed decision. First of costing was £335 for the full set which included all fairings and tank cover, should of been £295 but payed extra for injection moulding. I was worried about ordering from DHgate as not really much advertisement in this country but cannot fault them. The fairings themselves were bought from a Chinese firm called Motostar, there comes and customer care were excellent and answered all questions, I would definitely advise though that you confirm with them via message our exact order after purchase as they nearly sent me the wrong item. Delivery, this was excellent, told 14-18 days and arrived 15 days after dispatch, I did incurr custom charge of £30 which is cool as they write the necessary info on the slip. The items arrived in a flimsy box, would expected better protection but they were ok. All items were perfect and a great finish and the paint work excellent. Fitting, now for the bad points. I paid extra for injection moulding which I was told were 99% perfect I would say 85% to be honest. I had to use my previous screws and fittings and hod to drill a few holes which were missed out,the tank cover was the hardest and a bit flimsy, have now chosen to get my tank sprayed which is probably for the best. The overall feel is that they are not as versatile as the oems bt much cheaper obviously but no complaints about the look, they do look stunning. Overall would give 3/5 stars and would recommend them but only if ou are prepared to work at fitting them and have some decent tools to hand. Check out the pics, I think it looks pretty cool.
