Fairings
I know there is no good answer to this but I have about 1000 bucks and want to fix my fairings. I have not had any luck on cl or any where at all to be honest. So I'm am thinking of just buying some eBay fairings. Does anyone have any better suggestions. Keep in mind my budget and all I have as far as good fairings is the center headlight peice and left and right lowers. Thanks for any input. Also on my search for fairings I found a Vfr swing posted on craigslist in Virginia posting I.D. Is 2500304808

depends on how much you need to replace (plastic wise) I sold my entire set of plastic for about 1k (plus a lot of extras). It's just a rough time of year as most people have already cracked up their bikes and fixed them. You can try stuntlife[dot]com, i bought a bunch of stuff from there. The ebay stuff is going to be hit or miss. even if they say it will be a OEM match. Unless it's coming from Honda, or another Honda bike that IS OEM, you will have a tight fit matching parts up with real OEM plastics. There are some better stores but they all come from the same place generally.
If you have a lot of plastic you need to replace, i would suggest just buying a bit at a time when you can find it, and have it painted afterwards. otherwise you can get a full kit from ebay. Keep in mind, you will likely need to buy a bag of bolts/screws/fairing nuts/retention clips as these kits don't normally come with them.
Now, revisiting your post, if you just have cracks and your plastic is just banged up, i would just get some bondo, fiberglass and do it yourself. It's not as hard as it seems. I had to do that a number of times on my project bike, and i'm glad i did... valuable skill IMO.

I think the eBay kit is my best option I've bought a couple of oem part and if I get the eBay kit I will still have some money to buy some more as they come along. Knowing my luck somone will have a full set for sale about 30 mins after I place the order. What about sharkskinz? I've heard there heavy an crack alot but are they a better choice over the eBay kit
