The mount has to be a custom made mount. Or you can buy the street fighter mount that connects to the bottom of your ignition and then the guages move with the bars.

Here is what my mount looks like. Yep it is a FL license plate. I plan to cover it in black material so you cant tell.

all i did was use some plexy glass. $1.58 at home depot. however the mount i have is just a temp so i can drive around. i am still going to use the glass i just need to reinforce it on the next mount i make. also when i do that i am going to paint it and make is look like it should matching the bike. lol

I just finished doing this swap to my F3 last week, how hard was it to change the temp sending unit? I bought the part today but have no idea on how to change it yet.

and I cannot figure out a good way to mount the damn thing well. My mount now works ok but vibrates a lot on the highway and I'm scared I might lose it.

Heres a pic of how I have mine mounted...I used one of those pieces of long thing sheet metal with the holes drilled in it and cut 3 pieces to size and spray painted them black to kinda match everything

as far as I know its just the temp sending unit from a 98-99 cbr900rr. It has the same thread pitch as the F3 as the original 900rr used the exact same sensor, but in 98 Honda changed it from an analog temp gauge to a digital. Almost all the wires are the same, 3 differences out of 16 wires. To connect them you have to cut them all and use male/female connectors. I'm not sure how to get my picture to show but if you look at it, I used insulated quick disconnects for all my wires and wrapped them all up in electrical tape. You can find the temp sending unit at Ron Ayers, just look up the thermostat on the 1998 CBR 900rr parts fiche and I believe its part number 8. Runs like 30 bucks new I got mine for 20 bucks out of a bike junk yard right by my house.

If you go to cbrworld.net they have a really good write up with lots of pictures for exactly how to do this mod.
