F4i gauge install on F3
So I read everywhere that everyone does the F4i gauge switch, my question is. How do I do it correctly ?
what wires do what, and where do the go?
Please help, I'm new this is my first bike and I really want to keep it and make it look nice.

Welcome to the forum! Now search around the internet for 20 seconds and you will have the answer. Google f4i gauge on f3 and you will get your answer. I personally think it looks incomplete as it exposes a lot of wires and rubber when the bigger f3 gauge is replaced by the smaller f4i unit. To each their own and do what you like! Good luck
Welcome!
Agreed, a simple google search "F3 to F4i gauge swap" will reveal many posts on this forum on how to do it, which wires and in some cases ideas on how to create a shroud to mask all the extra wires. It's not a hard swap, just go about it slowly. There are plenty of places to get wire harnesses so you don't need to do anything other than snip and re-pin the wires coming from the F3.
Good luck!

Google is your friend. You can also check my build thread in this forum for a general guide and tips. "96 f3 winter project ..."
There aren't any specific *how to step by step* but there are wiring guides all over the net.
General Electric knowledge is beneficial.
