Need help with aftermarket gauge install.
I am in the middle of installing a Koso DB-01R digital gauge. I have everything wired and working except the neutral light and the tachometer.
Neutral light- When I wire a 12v light bulb to the neutral wire from the harness it will function just fine. When I connect the neutral wire to the digital gauge I get nothing. When I hook the sidestand wire to the digital gauge and move it the light functions as it should. Why would a working neutral light not light the LED warning light on the digital gauge but the sidestand wire will??? I read up a little bit about it and some people suggest putting a resistor inline. Where would I put it and what size?
Tachometer- The instructions say to hook up to the possitive side of the ignition coil. What side of what coil do I hook to? Right side coil or left? connection closer to front of bike or rear?
Any help would be appriciated, I have no manual for this bike and I am building it for a friend. Bike is a 1993 F2.

Heh, the tachometer is a prettttty big deal to not have working. A resistor has been known to help with aftermarket gauges that piggy back the lead to the ignition coil as sometimes the voltage spike is a bit much to make sense of. As for which coil, it doesn't really matter, they all fire in such rapid succession you can't really go wrong.
As for the neutral light... you sure you're doing it right? If it's lighting a 12v light, it should be lighting the koso gauge. Have you tried hooking the koso neutral light up to a guaranteed source (battery) or perhaps checked for resistance across it to make sure it's even good?

what color wire are you connecting for the neutral switch? Cause when in neutral, the switch itself is completing ground - the G/Y wire is the ground side of the circuit coming off of the stock neutral indicator bulb. The B/Br wire is always energized 12v, so hitting neutral is grounding the circuit.
