F3 Fairings - What is best?
Hi all, I am looking at buying a '97 F3 which has been in a minor slide. The bike is fine, but the owner has thrown away all the body work! Yes, all of it!
Now, my question is, since I have to start from scratch anyway... what direction should I head in? I have done fairing work before on my CBR250RR and VFR400 but I have never owned a 600 so I am unsure what is available for them. I will say I really like the bug-eye look of the old 250RR with the dual round headlights, but I am sure that would be pretty tough to do given the shape of the F3 fronts I found on eBay.
Money and time are not really a concern, I mostly want something to play with and want to feel good about the result! I also would rather do work myself than pay for a "kit" that someone else has engineered.
I appreciate any and all feedback guys, I know I am new to this forum but I have been a bike rider for 15 years and think this place could be my new home if I get this bike!

im pretty sure you can mount just about any tail on the f3 with enough creativity and some decent welding skills. most of the tail conversions ive seen require cutting off the subframe and replacing it with the subframe for whichever tail you are converting to. i have no personal experience though. so looking at some of the other posts might give you more insight than i can.
