Default F3 to f4i guage swap

what exactly do i need for this swap besides a mount and a f4i gauge? i was reading a thread about some thermo unit stuff and i became confused because i thought this was a simple unplug the old and plug in the new

i havent been able to find a write up on exactly how to do this swap does anyone know of one so u can post the link to it... if not could someone tell me what i will need to do.. and everything that i will need to get before i begin the swap..

also i have read that the speedo works great if you go -1 in the front, so i think im going to do that as well.. this helps get the front wheel come off the ground a bit easier too correct?

im absolutley dieng to do this swap!!!!

spicy if u read this im just letting you know that i pm'd u a couple times about a mount and u never got back to me but i think im gonna be a lil creative and do something on my own... sorry bout the harassment

you dont need anything but a mount, gauges, thermo sensor, and some wire connectors for 20g wire. the write up is on cbrworld.com. really easy stuff, search around there is alot of info on this site too

i read this on cbrworld.net

98-99 900rr thermostat fits the f3 and works with the f4i guages.

edit: i read further on the cbrworld.net forum and i found out the 98-99 900rr sensor works perfectly...

alot of people did the swap using this tutorial... he doesnt show u how to replace the thermo sensor so it must be pretty easy to do because not many people have had problems with it...
http://cbrworld.net/forums/1/219055/ShowThread.aspx

when i do my swap i will consider taking some pics and make a how to tutorial for us here at CBRF

just be careful when you take the sensor out, because if you strip it (and it's quite easy to) you will have to retap the hole and that's a long and annoying process

i read about that happening to alot of ppl and im praying thaqt it does not happen to me... ill have to buy a tap set... i guess it would be too bad of a thing to have one around but it just sounds like crap to have to do all the extra work.
