Default f3 engine removal?

Okay i followed all the instructions in the manual. I undidthe boltsholding theengine even the huge allen wrech one holding the cross bar in.I have the bike hanging from straps and the engine supported by a jack. When i lift the engine up higher with the bike the engine is completely seperated from the frame but when i go to lower it down the engine doesnt seem to drop out. is there a special technique to drop it out?

how hard is this to do? I will be picking my CBR up next month and I am going to do this when I repair/replace the transmission in there (it has no second gear apparently). I am no mechanic, but I know my way around a wrench and have time and space to do it right....just wondering what I might have to look out for.

i guess I should ask where I might get a new set of gears and whether it is just worth getting a newer engine instead...what can i expect to pay for a good used engine?

I have done it twice now and it isn't that hard to do...
The spacers are normaly what jam and make the motor hard to remove...
Having a second person makes the job a lot easier...

And for putting the motor back in I put the frame lying down and just slipped it into the frame....

those front spacers are what made it so hard for me as well. Once i noticed the front ones and knocked it out the engine came out smooth. I myself as well am not a mechanic and everything was pretty easy just make sure you know where all the parts go and dont loose any screws.
