Check out your stat first.

You could try one of these but make sure threr the same thread.
I think they are.

This is what Kuroshio is saying.

Thermo Unit - Tells you the temperature of your engine via the temp gauge
Thermo Switch - Tell the Radiator Fan to come on
Thermostat - Controls when and how much water flows through the engine and radiator.

If you think about what each one does and how it might affect the bike if it didn't do what it was supposed to do, then I think it will help you to isolate the problem with your bike. (if it actually has a problem).
