electrical problem with gauge
i have the f3 with the f4i gauge cluster, so today i was putting in my side flush mount and when i tried to wire it up it wont work , then suddenly i turn the key on and now the gauge wont even turn on....did i blow up the fuse or something if there is one and where would that be located at? the bike will still start but just that my running light is dead and the gauge is dead too, the time still show. but what did i do?? any help will be awesome.
Sounds like the fuses are blown... check on right hand side (throttle side) there is a fuse box... check the fuses there.
How did you connect the gauge? did you solder the cables together or did you use the male/female connectors?

if the fuses look good, then check the wiring make sure that everything is connected... that's why I always solder ALL my cables, so the connectors don't come loose.
Since your clock works that means you're getting power... if your headlight doesn't work, I'd venture to say headlight fuse went out

ahaha what a no brainer, thanks Kerosene, its was nothing major, jus a blown fuse like u said. i know it had to do with the fuse , i just forgot where the fuse box was. ahaha. well thanks. ima go ride now.
wouldn't blow a fuse, it just wouldn't work... unless you bought some cheap flush mounts that don't have resistors... if you can add 100ohm resistor to the turn signals (just in case.)
if you don't know how... cut the positive cable on the turn signal (somewhere in the middle) solder 100ohm resistor, tape it with electrical tape and you're done.
