Default Ebay Fairings

So I crashed a couple of days ago, and am looking for fairings. I'm done some searching on this site and it seems like Ebay is the best place to find parts.

What I am wondering are fiberglass fairings are ok to use. Has anyone ever used them? or do they fit good? etc. Any info about fiberglass fairings would be helpful.

Thanks

There is a right upper on there right now.

You gotta check eBay everyday, even when you're not looking for anythign in particular.

Well its really not a question of whether or not fiberglass are ok to use. They are great to use... its ALL about the company you get them from. One company can make a great set of high quality fairings and another can make the most **** poor pile of **** youve ever see (which is what happened to me). So I then opted for the slightly more expensive OEM replacement. I knew it wouls all fit, didnt have to drill or tweek and the extra you spend on OEM you save when you dont have to paint or even fix the fiberglass...

Unless you plan on custom painting, I would advise to search for used ones in your color. I am planning on getting an upper left fairing and i found one for 175 all painted and with the appropriate decal on it.

Thanks for your help. The fairings that I have on it are fixed up to begin with so they are not in the 'best' quality.

What I'm planing on doing is fixing up or replacing most of the fairings and get a good paint job.

What are other websites to get stock fairings at besides ebay?

thank you

The no name stuff on ebay is questionable. A guy on KawiForums tried a Tromex body set and gave it a thumbs up for the price ($400 shipped). But, fit and finish of any fiberglass "race" body less than $700 is going to be below OEM bodywork. Sharkskinz, Armourbodies and a couple others are "good"...the rest is kinda junky. Bang for the buch, Cheetah or Hot bodies....but both can be hit or miss. And sad to say, at the age of the F3, notmany carry the bodywork.

For the F3 I would look for used, or look at Maier ABS panels.
