Default dumb question

I just picked up my F3 this morning (first bike), but it has an aftermarket paint job and I don't know the positions for on, off, and reserve on my fuel supply valve. Does the arrow pointed up mean ON or RESERVE?

I always think of it like this....res is in the up position because when it is poitedup to the heavens you're praying to the man upsatirs to let you get to a gas staion before she runs dry...

Had some fun with that to begin with, it's the opposite way round from my old 89 CBR. Up was on, down was reserve.

Hrm, odd, my f3 doesnt have the lettering but I'm pretty surethe **** isrotated all the way to the right, which would be pointed up right? I'll have to check to make sure when I get home. Would someone notice if they where running off reserve all the time? Would it be bad? Thanks!

If you are on reserve all the time it just means that once you run out then you have to push it to the petrol station.

LOL thanks man, it had been running on reserve all the time. Not sure if the prev owner had it that way or if my friend turned it that way. 99% sure it was my friend.
