Really Dumb Question
'99 cbr600f4. Spring preload adjustment for rear shock... do I view which number it's set at from the left (shifter) side of the bike with the number facing out or from the center of the shock with number facing up? Also is this model years shock known to be a bit too pogo-ish? I've set it up a bit soft for commuting but the rear still bounces quite a bit. When I push down on the rear it seems to spring back too fast. I've tried increasing the rebound to slow it down but it still wants to spring back too fast. I've considered that maybe one of the previous owners may have put a stiffer spring on it (doubtful as its nearly stock otherwise). Thanks! If anyone out there has this year and the owners manual I'd appreciate the stock settings!!

My bike feels the same way, I think my rebound is too fast, I havnt messed with it much yet, I think im just going to buy a newer model f4i rear shock, and will upgrade to inverted forks hopefully from a cbr 600rr, I hear you need to switch to 600rr front breaks and front rim, basically change the whole front end, will also do a 600rr swingarm swap so both rims match, but Im going to have to find a good deal on parts for it to be worth it
