Dumb fuel reserve question...

Which way should the fuel reserve arrow be pointing for the regular fuel line and which way for the reserve, up or down? I'm assuming arrow to the left is off. What is what?? Thanks!

well the tank hold .8 of a gallon so im gussing around twenty im not 100% though
